Birthday!!!

Well all, my wife has delegated the unenviable task of blogging to perhaps an all X chromosome audience. I will do my best to fluff it up a little, and make this moment as precious for you as it has been for us. As most of you know, Stacy was scheduled to be induced yesterday June 17th. Stacy was the first voluntary induction scheduled for the day, so we figured our opportunity would arrive shortly. We were informed to call the hospital at 7 am to get a time we should head to the hospital. However, it turned out there were a lot of unplanned births the night before, so when we called at 7 we were informed that the hospital would call us back within 2hours, and if they didn't, we should call them again. 9 o'clock arrived, and we had not heard a thing, so Stacy called again. Thankfully, this time we were instructed to head in. So, after 6 hours thirty-five minutes, two attempts to break Stacy's water, one epidural, and three hospital staff helping Stacy push, our little girl Audra Lynn was born. She weighed a solid 7 lbs. 14 oz, and was 21 inches long. At this point, Audra Lynn is doing so well, she is reaching all of the preset milestones that newborns are supposed to meet, and she may be able to avoid the billyrubin (however it's spelled) lights, unlike her older brother. Stacy and Audra should be able to come home tomorrow, and she and Colin will finally get to meet. Coly-Kai hasn't been able to go to the hospital because he caught a cold on Tuesday. Oh well, he'll have plenty of years to torment his younger sister. Thank you all for your prior/future support.
