The New Museum

This past Saturday, we took Coli and Lou to the new Utah Museum of Natural History, Rio Tinto Center.  It is in an incredible building that is so much bigger and is brighter and better feeling.  The museum just opened the day before to the public, so they had all the labs open and the storage open so we could see the behind the scenes.  The storage that had all the embalmed animals was very cool, just look at the jar with all the snakes.  They had a bunch of hands on activities for the kids and the displays/exhibits have more sensory items.  I really feel that this museum is a better one the the old building down on the University's President Circle.  I am grateful that we had the opportunity to take the kids to the museum for the opening.
Can you even imagine how many snakes are in there?  Yuck!
Look how much he has grown.
She did not want to lay down, but instead compared her feet to the dinosaur.
