A Fall Hike

Last week, Brian had a great idea for an after school hike on Friday.  So, we planned what we needed, where we would go and got the things we needed.  Friday arrived and we headed for Bell's Canyon.  It has a cute little reservoir not too far into the hike and then a waterfall about 2 miles up.  We made it to the reservoir and a tad past, but not to the waterfall.  All the kiddos were troopers.  I was especially impressed with Lynnie, who fell down and when Brian picked her up crying, she wanted down and to keep hiking.  We rested a bit in the shade and then headed back down.  After the hike, the kids got a Slurpee, this made the whole day.
