Arrested Development?

Earlier this year, Brian was asked to join a Ragnar team.  However, this team was not your typical 12 man team, this was an Ultra team (6 runners).  He had always said that if he were to run Ragnar, he wanted to do it as an Ultra team.  His team was composed of very fast runners, and he stressed because he was the slowest on the team and originally had the most miles.  But the course changed and his miles became average.

This past weekend was Ragnar, Wasatch Back. Brian was nervous and excited for this race.  His team did really well.  They came in an hour slower then predicted, but for an ultra team that is really good.  They had experienced some unseen issues, such as running out of water and being very tired.  But overall, the team kicked some behind.  We found out this morning that his team took 3rd place in the category they entered.  I am so excited for them.  However, Brian has said that he will not be participating in another relay race.  This makes me sad, because I have been asking him to run one with me.  Maybe it's still to fresh, but I am hopeful that one day he will change his mind and we will run a relay together.
