Easter egg fun

A year ago, Colin was on a strict diet for allergies, he couldn't have anything that had milk, eggs or nuts. So, we did not dye Easter eggs or even hard boil any. This year we have learned that he is not allergic and so we decided to let him try Easter egg dying.

So, we covered the table with a moving pad, took Colin's clothes off and let him try dying the Easter eggs. At first, we were putting the eggs on the dippers and carefully lowering the eggs into the cups of dye. Well, then Grandpa told us "just let him do it." So, we would give Colin a color and an egg, he would try to lower it with the dipper but gave up and soon he was throwing the egg into the cup pulling it out.

I had pulled out a crayon to use to block color on the eggs I was working on. Coly, decided he wanted to color his eggs.

So, the rest of the night it was throw an egg in, pull it out seconds later, color the egg, throw it back in, pull it back out, color some more. He was so excited. He was shaking with excitment.

Because he had given up on the dipper an was using his hands, they were dyed green and because of the splashing his feet too were green. Also, due to the splashing he was mixing colors. It was so much fun to watch and he thought that this activity was sooo fun!

After the egg dying, he had to take a tubby. He literally turned the water green because he had so much dye all over his body. He still is slightly colored today. But he has loved Easter eggs!
