Camping with Papa & Bana

Last Tuesday, my dad called and stated that he and Kel were going camping over the weekend, and wanted to get everyone together for one last camp trip of the year. I told him that I would get back to him. Well, after lots of moving of things and getting work off, we were able to commit to going. Bri took Friday off to do homework and then get up to camp. We left town at 2 pm and arrived around 3:45 in the BEAUTIFUL Uintah mountains at a camp called Hades. Dad and Kel, had picked the most relaxing campsite, the river was right there and a magnificant face of a mountain right across. We set up and then just had a fun evening. Coly starting casting and did amazingly well. He shocked Papa with his mad skills. Colin, Carter and Audra all had a great time playing down by the river. Audra was throwing mud, and had it every where including behind her ear.
After a great dinner of hotdogs, we got the kids cleaned up and put down for the night. Lindsey and Dustin finally arrived at 8:30 that night. We were helping them set up there tent trailer and got the poles up and the canvas on, they were finally making the beds, so the rest of us went back to the fire to warm up, we were sitting there just all of the sudden. Crash! Boom! Bang! "Man down!" Lindsey cried. We run over to find the trailer up in the air. I start to pull the trailer down when, Lindsey screams "NO!" "My butt is on the ground you will pinch me in half." So, Dad and Bri rescued her. I could finally pull down the trailer. Lindsey swears that she almost died that night, but if any of you know Lindsey, you know she is on the dramatic side. We got cold that night and we were up a lot of the night.
The second day included a lot of fishing, however the fisher people were skunked as we did not get even one fish. We we had a great time telling stories, eating good food and enjoying nature. We were able to stay warm that second night, thanks to a few moderations.
Sunday, we enjoyed a nice breakfast and then headed back to SLC as Bri had homework that he needed to do. But the time we spent with Papa and Bana was wonderful. Thanks for the invite guys!
