Grandma Shirley's 75th Birthday

Tonight, we celebrated Grandma Shirley's (Bri's Grandma) birthday, at aunt Dorrie's house. You see Bri's family is from Michigan, Debby and all her sisters were born there. Then Bob and Shirley moved to Utah when the kids were a little older, so all of the rest of the family still lives in Michigan, including Grandma's only sister, Lois. So, Debby and her 3 sisters paid for Shirley's sister Lois to come out and surprise her for her birthday. It was a pretty neat moment, watching the 2 see each other. Lois had called Dorrie's cell from the back bedroom and handed the phone to Shirley. Shirley and Lois were talking as Lois stepped out and Shirley didn't notice until they were 3 feet away. Shirley was so excited that she started to sway and we were concerned that Shirley might in fact pass out. However, she stayed on her feet and there were lots of tears from all the women in the room. We had a great meal and lots of fun talking with the rest of the family and the kids really enjoyed playing in the hammock. It was a great night with family and friends.
