We woke up and went for a run around the city. It was probably one of the more difficult runs I have ever been on. It was hot and humid, and I felt like I could not breath because the air was so thick. After our run, and a nice breakfast from the hotel we went to the Smithsonian of American History. It was so neat here, there were so many different areas of American history. There was a war section, the telegram from the attack on Pearl Harbor, it reads "Airraid on Pearl Harbor X This is no drill." There were beams from the second tower that was hit on September 11, 2001. The way "America moves" and The First Lady section. I REALLY, REALLY wanted to see the different gowns from the first ladies, it was very neat, because they had some very old dresses and dishes from some of the very first, first ladies. My favorite was Nancy Reagan's it was beautiful, the others were lovely too. 
After we went to lunch at Teaism, with my cousin Shaun. He just moved there about 8 months ago, he took a job with the Department of Justice. It was great to see him and he helped us get some ideas on things to see and do in the area, since we had been there before and seen so much of it.
We walked up to the Supreme Court, it was a beautiful building. We watched a movie and got some background information about the Supreme Court and the job the justices do. 
After, we were so tired from being in the heat and humidity that we went back took a nap. That night was the Award Reception at Union Station. We arrived to the hosts clapping and a beautiful set up. The dinner was slow to arrive, the catering staff was way under staffed and it was not well planned. The meal was good, but not as lovely as the first night. The entertainment then started and it was so loud, it was echoing off the building, by the fourth song, we left as it was just too much. We called it a night in hope that we could feel more rested the next day.
